I would love to!
Only problem is then I'd need to get another husband....
In fairness to him, we do already have two dogs. My other one is a Bedlington Terrier and so laid back, he is usually horizontal which was why I didn't mention him previously. Chasing kittens would be far too much like...
Thanks for this - and yes, I meant to use the crate for the kittens at first and not for Flora. Didn't make that clear!
I guess I'm just worried about them being so tiny and squeaky in the early days. I really don't want her to think they are some kind of toy.
I am hoping to get some advice on bringing home two kittens into a house with a resident whippet - SAFELY!!!
My whippet, Flora, is two years old, lovely natured and has been used to an older cat ever since arriving as a puppy. She has always had to respect the cat previously but he was big and...
I don't feel qualified to offer you any advice as there are other far more experienced owners on this forum. I am a first time whippet owner myself with a very new puppy but this forum is an excellent source of information and I'm sure that you will get some great advice. There seems to have...
After reading loads of great tips and advice on this forum from other people's posts, I thought that I should say hello and introduce our new puppy to everyone.
We were lucky enough to bring home 'Precious' - one of Susie and Sparkle's puppies from Norfolk - and she is now settling in with us...
You can tell I'm new to this as I've posted it in completely the wrong place!!! And I was so pleased that I had managed to work out the photos and everything.
Now to work out how to move it......

Wow - what an incredible difference! Dilly looks fantastic and the puppies are adorable. I hope you manage to find loving homes for all of them.
And as to daddy, I'm just not sure......
I have sent a donation this morning. It's been so touching to read what you are doing for this poor dog and I wish all of you the very best of luck with the coming days and weeks.
I am so sorry, Vicky - I feel absolutely terrible for you in your loss. Chloe is lucky to have found you and you should feel proud of what you did for her. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
I am loving getting this insight into all of your families!
The photos and the suggestions are all brilliant. Far better than just nagging and whining, which is so not attractive!!!
I LOVE the shot of the three whippets leaping the log in the snow. What a fantastic photo and gorgeous...
Sorry to ask such a totally novice question, but how do I find the nearest place to me for whippet racing and how do I find out its schedule of events? I know nothing about it and have never been, but would love to go along and observe some time.
We have so many beautiful walks around where we live and dog owners by the thousand. As luck would have it, we have only come across ONE whippet in the 10 years we have lived here. Luckily the owners of that one are lovely and adore their dog - they can't rate whippets highly enough...
We live in Surrey so if anyone is local, please let me know!
I think he might come round eventually, but does that mean that I will be held accountable for eternity and a day if our dear little future Whippet is slow to housetrain, destructive, won't recall, etc, etc? It's bad enough that the...
Well done!
I think Tala is absolutely beautiful and I don't believe a word you say about her.......!
By the way, just wondering - what colour do you call her?
