Normal social skills for 15 months?

I'd suggest keeping a diary or a note of your walks and keep a note of the things like the dog breed/colour/size/owner, if the dog was on lead, if it starred at your dog/what the body language was, if the dog came into your dogs space, what sex it is. It may help you identify what the trigger is...

Sleep pattern changing - how best to manage please

My other thought would be that he's being to over stimulated; puppies need somewhere between 16 - 18 hours of sleep typically. I agree with Joanne F that teaching him to settle would be good - obviously making sure that any toileting needs have been met.

    Rosie

It would be hard to give you a reason without lots of further questions/some idea of the dynamic between you. Although i am intriuged to know if she pulled the sheets back or did she devour those too? You've already said that you'll be keeping the bedroom door closed but you may want to think...

Started pooping on carpet all of a sudden...do we tell him off

That's a good point, when you cleaned the carpet you effectively removed the scent that he was used to (the "my den" smell). It will take a while to get the "normal" smell back - you could play some games/beginning of recall training in the lounge, with you sitting on the floor in different...

Nice little piece on body language

Are you mindful of how you pre-act and then how Miles reacts to this too? It sounds like it's a very tiring I found a fun quiz that had photos and examples of dog language, sadly i haven't posted enough in here to allow me to include links, but when that day comes I will include it into the...

    Body Language

I found a nice little test on the net... I found some of the sites decisions a little dubious; but as we've already observed it's rather difficult to read the situation from a photograph. Anyhow I got 14/19, how will you guys do? How fluent are you in dog-speak?

    Body Language

I wasn't 100% if they were mid-play, the body language of the brindle looks asertive (tail up, leaning slightly towards the other), but you're right that is a happy face (long and relaxed lips), in fact that goes for both dogs. Sadly you can't see their feet, i suspect the brindle will have the...

    Hello

Sadly none of my own, just those of friends and family - working full time precluded this. My family always had rescue dogs so it is something that I have grown up with but I think I would like to know what it is like to start from begining with a puppy (choosing a breeder, toilet training, etc).

    Body Language

I like this thread, I have one I'd like your opinion on - I just found it on the net, was titled 'Shelter dogs playing'.

    Hello

I've been checking out the forum on and off for a while reading the different threads; thought I should at least become a member of the community proper. I'm in the early stages (of hopefully) becoming a behaviourist, although the more I read the more there seems to be too learn :). what...
