It's called an eargasm in our house, it only works on the dogs mind.
Hope all goes well Keith.
I've just been to the vet myself, he suspects that my dog has OCD in his right shoulder. We're going back for an x-ray on Monday. He's quoted me £1000 and up, just for the x-ray, thank the sweet lord i'm insured.
he suspects that my dog has OCD (Osteochrondritis Dissecans). Just wondered if anybody's dog had experienced this and if it ended happily.
We've been prescribed with some anti-inflammtory pills and exercise restriction for two weeks, if nothing improves then its time for x-rays e.t.c. and...

Does she ever have a problem with brittle/broken fur? The fur...
As said before, straight after meals and a soon as you wake up. Take her directly to the the same place. Controling my dogs water supply also helped i.e. just a drop before bed time, and don't leave food down for more than 45 minutes.
Apparently 1month = 1 hour of bladder control.
Good luck!!
My 11 month old Deerhound got a football kicked at him by a group of youths -accidently?- near one of our local shops, for a short while afterwards he would start trying to run the other way everytime we approached the incident spot. I decided to persist and while in that area i would play with...
You might have problems with two juveniles fighting over 'top dog' position. Also if they're gonna grow to be big dogs then it may be difficult to stop them over exercising while they're young.
But nothing that a bit of hard work and patience won't overcome, just my opinion, i'm sure its been...
I've been feeding a junior deerhound on Hill's dry food with supplements, a 15kg bag last 3-4 weeks and is £43, the supplements for strong bones e.t.c. is £6 for this period. So min. cost is £1.71 per day ! If this carries on and i get another deerhound i'll be fed on Tesco value soup min...
Do M+S do life cover, as opposed to only 12 months per illness. I'm with More Than they're good but the excess for a pedigree dog is.... erm.... excessive.
I managed to get 2lb lamb hearts and 2lb lambs liver from the butcher for £2, he also threw in a massive bone full of marrow for free! The dog ate them with vigour, which was nice to see as lately hes been picky about the dry food.
I think i'm going to try Landywoods, but my freezer at home...
Thanks Jok,
I'm currently spending £50+ per month on dog food (for 1 dog), had a look at the landywood site, seems good. Apart from chicken wings, what other bones are you feeding? Do you give meat on the bone or do you get the bones separate? and can i give mince beef raw?
Thanks again...
The programme was sickening. Hate to sound like a dictator in the making, but i always thought people should have to qualify for some kind of license for dog ownership. I know it would probably fail in the midst of endless bureaucracy but there are so many teenagers around my area who...
Whilst we're on the subject of raw food. Can anybody give advice on what raw meat would be ideal to start feeding a growing deerhound (10 months old). He currently eats Hill's dry with some raw veg or cooked mince but i'm not sure what raw meat i can/can't feed him.
Thanks, Simon.
