I had a male as the only dog for just over a year before we got our female.. He was fine as he is pretty laid back.
Not saying this will be the same for everyone, just my experience!
(PS - You could always try and meet up for whippet walks with other K9'rs)
WOW What a handsome boy
Does anyone else get the bizarre telling off when they get home as well... ? Daniel kind of mouths something which comes out as A wur Wur Wur
I'm looking for a playmate for my Whippet but live in Norfolk.
If anyone knows of a whippet (similar) needing a home, please let me know.
Cat and child friendly.

Have you seen this thread http://www.k9community.co.uk/forums/index....showtopic=29267
Hi - Yes he is still available, I will ask the sanctuary re: home check and they would prefer to keep it in house as their policies may differ from another (I know, I know.. and I agree with you guys...)
I was hoping he would have been snapped up by now... cant believe this little guy is still...
I have 1 of each and the male is definately more loving.. The female seems to pick things up a lot faster but it much slower to actually follow a command (and as for trying to catch her on a recall if there is something more interesting to chase forget it...)
I have also noticed that the male...
Just to add my tuppence worth...
One of the reasons I signed up to the Petback scheme was because they encourage you to use their tags instead of putting your own telephone number on them as this would mean they were less likely to be stolen for 'rewards'
Didnt realise they would have to have...
I would just like to thank you all, the agility leg protectors I bought are just the trick. Izzy can now run free without the danger of nicks on her front legs. I just wish I could work out how to post pictures!!

Ooh details please..... (and we expect pics from Saturday <G>) :teehee:
Hi Rabbitrunner, good luck in your search.
I think I understand the sentiment that you are making, I have had 1 of my whippets from rescue (where there is a compulsory donation) and I bought 1 from a K9 lady that bred but was no longer able to keep the dog because of a change in circumstances...
