Sorry I cannot offer any positive help, only another negative - my first ever whippet was kept in a stable, and til the day she died at 18, she never coould be housetrained.I agree with all the other advise, NO puppy should leave at 6 wweeks, unless exceptional circumstances,ie mum dies.Good...
This is classed as out of control in a public place - so why can't the police actually implement the dda against a dog out of control - because they do not b****y care about dogs
I would rather see someone on the path than getting killed on the roads - legal or not! Disabled people do need to exercise their dogs as much as able bodied people, or perhaps john20465 thinks we should just sit like zombies all day and give up!
I too use a mobilty scooter and what I have done with each dog new to the scooter is to use certain words for toilet etc, keep saying toilet when she poos/wees and like mine she will soon perform on command when you are expecting a stop! I also do fast and slow routes and all mine use the slow...
I agree with the op completely - the responsible are being penalised when the guilty parties won't insure, chip etc. I think the way forward was to ensure the police acted on dangerous dogs reported to them - like the b*****d dog that broke my dogs neck and the police just said " it's only a...

Funny Dawn, didn't see you there and I haven't named anyone so please enkighten us to who you are talking about? I know for a fact they have been TOLD 100's of times but DO NOT listen. AsI say, newcomers are welcome/needed in all breedes, but why do they not even show common courtesey as TC...
Last Saturday I went to watch judging at Newark. The steward duly called the puppy class in, there were 3 entered - one was ready and waiting so went in ( a 'newcomer 'to whippets after a 15 year break) He got his puppy stacked and was all prepared to be judged - Then the steward came around the...
I have always said to new owners by contract that if the dog has to be re homed - at any age - it comes back to me. Have done this and also taken other breeder's dogs too  ( and yes, they were whippets)
Please check with your vet if they will 'claim direct' so you just pay the excess and your vet gets paid by insurance . Many vets do not do this if covered by E & L as they are notoriously bad at paying out - applies to horse policies too.
