Sarah, Lisa, and Cocoa the chocolate Labrador welcome you to The Red Lion. Our cosy country inn is nestled in the heart of the Cotswold village of Long Compton, a place steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful countryside - the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway, romantic break, or a delicious meal with friends.
We also offer dog-friendly accommodation for our guests who choose to travel with the whole family.
Originally built as a coaching inn in 1748, this Grade II listed free house is located in the Cotswolds; an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With tales of witches in the village and a nearby prehistoric stone circle, known as the Rollright Stones, Long Compton is a popular destination for historians and tourists alike.
The Red Lion has seen many changes over the years, yet still retains the charm and character of a classic Cotswold country pub. Since taking over as managers, together with our staff, we have created a unique ambience with a smart, contemporary feel. Whether you’re joining us for Sunday lunch or a long weekend, you can rest assured we’ll do everything we can to make you feel right at home.
