Steeped in history, our stunningly restored Grade 1 country house is nestled in unspoilt Grade 2 listed parkland and acres of peaceful, open-access Sussex woodland and countryside. Just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the City of Brighton and Hove.
Built in 1722 for the Pelham Family, now a “Proud Country House”, Stanmer House has been restored and sensitively modernised, with a large private garden and marquee.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the lobby and library where dining is more informal.
On Sundays dogs are welcome in the marquee where the Carvery is served.
A hose is provided to wipe down any muddy paws!
